It’s 16km on a very narrow windy road. It was an October weekday. We drove in at 11am and, thankfully, only had 5 oncoming cars. On the way back at 315, surprisingly, there were more cars, perhaps 9. In only 2 instances, were there any...More

We are experienced, pretty fit hikers. After surviving the drive up (much less scary than the drive back when the road was busy) we were surprised by how exerting the walk was - more a rock climb/scramble at times. By the time we made it...More

A drive up the narrow D623 from Corte is well worth it for an enjoyable, not too tough hike to the mountain lakes at the top. We drove up around midday and were visiting at the end of September so the road wasn't too busy...More

This trail is in stunning landscape. We are not young and not hikers but reasonably fit. We took our time, taking photos along the way and it took us around one and a half to two hours. It is supposed to be a one hour...More

One of the natural wonders of Corsica is the Restonica valley. A must see when visiting the region. Drive all the way up to the paid car park at the end of the valley and hike/climb to one or both of the lakes to enjoy...More

We were staying in Corte so were fairly close but even then there were many cars that were already parked up. You pay 6 euro for tihsi pleasure. The road is single track for quite a way and falls away steeply on either side but...More

We did not have time for the hike to the lake but wanted to see the valley and appreciate the landscape. So we drove the 15km to the upper parking and walked around and stopped in with some of the locals who have set up...More

First, you should know that the parking is limited and you need to be at the parking area no later than 9 am and the fee is 6 euros to park. The hike to the two (2) lakes is challenging; lots of boulders, walking through...More

This is a tough hike alright. We drove all the way from Aleria until the Restonica parking. The drive itself is quite adventurous with narrow one way roads with no barriers separating you and the plunging gorge below!! But that's the fun of it!! You...More

it was on the road, the road was totally inaccessible... but you can still enjoy a walk along the river if you stop at the bridge.
