The citadelle itself is gorgeous in a unique and historical way and the views from the very top are unparalleled. It’s a bit of a hike to get there, but it is so worth it. Only catch: I would stay clear of the dungeon. I’ve...More

Dominant feature in Corte, very photogenic. The museum was very well presented and interesting, the citadel has basic historic information provided.

Nice views of Corte and the entire valley around Corte. Best to visit early morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds.

The steep steps lead up to a viewing area giving all round aspects, ranging from the spectacular mountains on one side, to the roof tops of the historic old town, with the Citadel buildings towering above.

Great views from top of town. Lots of steps up to the top but well worth it for the views. Nice eateries on the way up as well.

The citadelle itself was nothing special. Good thing that small entrance fee also includes access to the historical museum of Corte. The old town surrounding the citadelle is however very quaint.

This was capital of Corsica before more than 200 years. Narrow street and many stairways is so beautifull. Exellent view from Belvedere on all old town.

It's only worth to go if you're planning to go hiking or other sport activities. The village doesn't offer much at all.

Hi, Daren, sorry, I'm reading your question only now. No, in my opinion, it is'nt enought to see spending one day. In two hours, you see everything. Good trip.
