This nice church is located in the middle of the Old Town, so easy to find it. But getting inside is more difficult. It was closed but the staff was there and didn’t open it. The church was built in 1895 on the ruins of a 1st century basilica. It’s worth a stop and visit.

My friends were married here.. Its a beautiful church with an epileptic feel. A must see. The decoration has a mixture of old and new.

This is a small church in the centre of Old Sozopol. It is full of icons and religious items. Even if you are not religious it is well worth a visit. There is no charge to enter the church but they welcome donations. There are lots of icons etc commemorating St George and the Dragon. There is a small shop inside. Scarves are provided for ladies and you are asked to be suitably dressed. I just loved it.

The church isn´t very big, there are many beautiful paintings. But the staff was very unfriendly to kids and adults, too. Especially an old lady.My first experience in Bulgaria: she doesn´t allow us to take some pictures.

This small church sits in the central part of old town and difficult to miss. It looks humble from outside but is definitely very beautiful inside. Very popular with locals.

Situated in the Old Town you'll just stumble across it if you head along the cobbles from the bus-station and head to the left of the old bakery (with a new neon sign!).
Its free to enter but nice if you leave a small offering.
Just take a seat at the rear and soak up the atmosphere. Its not an old church be any means but it has an 'old' kind of feeling about the place.
The icons are stunning.
A nice place to just take a few minutes of your time and think of family and friends, away from the crowds and the heat of the day.

Popped in for a quick nosy around and loved this church. It's very pretty and similar to other churches we saw out in Bulgaria but has a stunning print of George and Dragon at the entrance which I will post a pic on here of.

1 lev tourist fee, not that anyone asks you for it but there's a sign requesting it. More than happy to make this donation to the church so I can have a nose around here.

This small church is located at the most central point of the old town of Sozopol and it is impossible not to notice its existence. It closes for an hour during the lunch break, but then reopens at two. The interior is the usual one of Bulgarian Orthodox churches of the same size, with praying faithful lighting small and thin candles.
