We always try to pop in on a Friday night for live music if we're in town!! Always seem to be a good musician / band or group on!! All the years I've been in I've never been disappointed with the act!

Stopped here for lunch on day trip to Broadstairs. Whitebait was delicious and also chips. The 2 ladies behind the bar were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Great pub, beer was excellent and the prices were fair. Nice atmosphere and live music was a credit to the Folk Week organisation.

Traditional looking place, good range of ales at reasonable prices. Friendly service and plenty of spaces to sit down and have a quiet chat. Close to the sea so good place to get some rehydration. Nice looking menu for the restaurant upstairs,

The Tartar Frigate is my favourite of the more conventional pubs in Broadstairs and features excellent live music. The bar manager seems rather abrupt and inappropriate in the way he talks to customers but perhaps that just reflects a lack of idiomatic English.

No dogs allowed before 2pm. plenty of excellent pubs with great food in Broadstairs let don't have such pathetic rules, so give the Tartar Frigate a miss.
