We happened upon this place on a Friday night around 10pm. It had good music and nice beer and space to sit. What more could you ask for?

Superb. Casual. Music is cool. Alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Served to your palate. We'll be back again.

Loved this place. Bookshop, bar, food - it didn’t disappoint. Recommended by a semi-local (I.e. someone who owns a holiday cottage down here) we popped in for an aperitif on Monday evening before going to dinner. The guy at the bar was friendly and attentive...More

Popped in here and was pleasantly surprised. Quirky and fun. No live music when we were there but can only imagine it would be a great evening when when there was. If visiting Broadstairs give it a visit you will want to return.

Just go! Incredible range of real ales, craft beers and ciders in this centuries-old former chapel and bookshop. Regular live music too. Always on our 'must do' list when we visit our favourite seaside town.

Great little stop if you want some tasty beer, they have a really good selection! It has a lovely atmosphere, and has a live DJ on Fridays it seems. Only criticism would be the toilets which are pretty cramped and dimly lit.

The Chapel is one of the quirkier venues in the charming, historic seaside town of Broadstairs. A great range of ciders and ales, places to park and peruse some of the many books available to read, in a welcoming watering-hole with a wealth of history...More

We were staying in a flat opposite (Chapel View) so got to know this bar quite well. The range of drinks was extensive and featured local brews & wines. We liked the unusual combination of old books and bar/drinks, all in a unique building. There...More

This is a great little place and great concept - a bookshop now turned into a bar. There are some nice sharing tables as well as an upstairs for more seating. I went on a Friday night and it was busy but not crowded and...More
