Sadly, we only had a short time to see the Museum as it was closing soon after we arrived. But we were shown round by a helpful member of staff and caught a flavour of the life of the area through farm implements, masks, textile...More

Tucked away in the corner of a square in the older part of town this small museum is packed with artefacts of local Portuguese life. The staff are very friendly, we communicated quite well despite language problems.

This museum gives you a perfect glimpse of what used to be the life in Trás-os-Montes not that long ago... This place is very well organized and the perfect example that it is not necessary top technology to achieve an well conceived place!
