Old fashioned traditional Irish music pub dating back to 1895, rich in tradition and culture with a lovely atmosphere. Music every Friday and Saturday during the winter and every Wednesday Friday Saturday and Sunday during the summer, Famous for its trad sessions with some of Ireland finest having played here. Friels is a listed building a still has some of the old structural fittings in place which is worth seeing.

Stopped in on our way through. They were actually closed but Mickey served us anyway. He probably thought we needed a warm up from the dreary day. Perfect place for a pint and conversation about the area. Amazing history and wonderful location. Highly recommend!!

I always make a trip here when i'm in Miltown, great live music is guaranteed and there is always a great buzz. Even under pressure the staff are friendly and efficient. The craic is always mighty here, best pub in town !

We visited this pub when staying in Milltown Malbay. We visited the town hoping to hear live music and we were not disappointed. We heard fantastic traditional music both evenings we visited.

Was recommended to visit here while staying at The Townhouse in Miltown Malbay and it was amazing. Quaint local place, great drinks and musicians who made the trip so memorable. Certainly worth a stop for a drink!
