Found by accident when strolling past and found it cool inside from the baking sun as well as unusual boating history from the lake and area.

Only caveat with this appealing and informative museum is that it's only open on Saturday. Having an art and nautical background, I looked forward to exploring this site, and it did not disappoint - through varied examples of local water craft presents good overview of fishing and its role in culture and life of the area, especially lower Lake Garda. Was an engaging trio of local residents to whom I shared, as best I could, my enthusiasm for their 'mission'. Certainly recommend a visit if you have the time.

This museum is definitely worth a half hour of your time if in the area. There are lots of old fishing boats and tools, plus many old photos on the walls of Peschiera from decades ago. Interesting to see a lot of the village still looks the same. The museum is very well air conditioned, which is a bonus on a very hot day like today. Not open every day, so best to check if its open when you plan to go.
