Villa Carlotta welcomes you with its magnificent botanic garden and art masterpieces in over 70.000 square metres of gardens and museum. The beautiful villa was built at the end of XVII century by the Milanese marquis Giorgio Clerici in a natural basin between lake and mountains, facing the dolomite Grignas and the peninsula of Bellagio.

Villa Carlotta has all the charm and love story history to absorb. Easy to access by water taxi, foot, or car. The property is well maintained and beautiful. The statuary is wonderful and most pictures do not do the justice the property deserves. A great...More

Our favorite sight while visiting Lake Como. This is a beautiful villa and botanical gardens on the shores of the lake, and a place everyone should visit. Take your time walking the grounds and plan on staying for a couple hours. We took the audio...More

Having visited 50 years previously, we had forgotten how extensive the gardens are. However, the accessibility improvements have meant we could still enjoy them. There is now a lift to the villa level and a lift within so everything could be enjoyed. The displays in...More

Long a required stop on the grand tour of Lake Como, the Villa Carlotta reveals itself to be slightly faded, even tatty attraction notable mainly for its gardens. Visited in blooming season, the extensive grounds can be an explosion of color; in off-season, however, the...More

Beautiful villa with some excellent classical art on the first level. The second floor of modern art was not for me but art is a matter of taste. The third floor displays rotate and the one I saw was mainly by children and not worth...More

I was here for a Photo shoot with a client. The villa is stunning and the garden is immaculate. Well tended too and manicured. Well worth a visit. The garden café is a bright and airy space also worth a visit.

I don't recall the cost but it's reasonable. We have also been there in October and it is worth the visit.
