Do not be put off by comments about the 300+ steps, we nearly were but found the way up very manageable and not that strenuous. Park at the top level by the restaurant, not the first lower parking area, this will save you a steep...More
We took the public bus which dropped us at the main road. From there we walked up a 45 degree road for approx. 15 mins to the steps. From there we climbed up the 300 steps to the monastery. When we reached there the views...More
You really need a car for this unless you are a fit experienced walker. Drive most of the way as far as you can go and then it's on foot. It's still a tough walk up but it's well worth the slog. The sights from...More

The views at the top of here are worth the trip! Cute little Monastry with lots of souvenirs available to buy. First you drive a fair way up, then 300 steps which are well laid out with spaces between. We managed with a pram and...More
We had little time to look round the monastery although it is lovely place and I would like to go back with a few hours to spare and visit properly. Very beautiful and could be delightful without hordes of tourists.
It's from early morning 7:00 am to the sunset .
That means it depens on the time the sun sets.
Anyway, it's not easy to climb up without light.
Have fun in the sunniest island of Greece !!!
