We walked so much exploring the streets. Walking on those stones is a bit uncomfortable on flip-flops so I would recommend wearing trainers or walking shoes. There is a lot to see and many places to visit so slow yourself plenty of time.

Perfect for an evening walk to get the whole atmosphere of the place and also the immense sense of history. Best time is a Sunday evening just after dark when few people are about and the lamps give off just enough light to see safely....More

At a point near the end of our guided walk through the Old Town, we were offered the choice of staying with the guide (to walk down the Street of the Knights), or to walk down the main shopping street, which is parallel to this....More

A wonderful walk along a medieval cobbled street up to the Palace of the Grand Masters. There are beautiful buildings either side with carved ornaments and commemorative plaques. Great photo opportunities.

A steady walk up the hill to the Palace of the Grand Master. Items of interest adorn some of the buildings along its length. Like Shields and emblems and carvings. There is also an alcove which has a schematic of the houses on each side...More

This street is amazing...a felt that I was in a scene from Game of Thrones....make sure you don't wear heels as they get stuck in the cobblestones!! Look up to see the gargoyles and the wonderful "archway through an archway" scenes...magic for photographers.

If you want to understand this then you either need a guide or read up on it. You lose out by simply walking around.

This is a fabulous street full of character and (almost) in its original condition from the middle ages. Go also at night when you can sense the knights in the shadows!

One of our favorite stops during our 2 week visit to Greece. Rhodes is filled with history and has been beautifully preserved.

A little slippy when wet, wear sensible shoes. Maps of the area are not very good, so ask locals when you get lost.

We waited outside the gate, in the small parking area, and with a little patience, a spot opens up as people come and go. Highly recommend if you have up to about 20 min to spare bc it's so close. Just remember to purchase... More

We took a taxi form Kiotari. We were dropped off at the top of the Temple of Athena and walked down into the Old Town from there. It’s well worth a visit. Have a great time.

The nearest and the only airport is Rhodes Airport (RHO). You can take a taxi, 25 euros or a public bus which takes you to the town. Driving in the Old Town ( the Medieval Town) is limited as the streets are too narrow and... More
