This is a bit of a climb but the church at the top is both interesting and very pretty. Views across the bay are also very good. From the waterfront, there is an interesting selection of tourist shops, selling tourist things before you get there....More

Small church build on a rock (“Petra”) in the center of town. After the small climb you will have a beautiful view of the town.

This is the famous church on the rock in Petra. You have to climb up a many stone steps - but you get a beautiful view; better going up at sunset time.

The climb up wasn't so bad, and when we reached the top: magnificent views of petra and surroundings. Church was small, but nicely decorated. Also a very nice caretaker of the church.

We intended to visit Panagia Glykofilousa when we visited Petra, but what we didn't expect was how peaceful and tranquil the church is. We climbed the famous steps (114) to the top and found an absolute gem of a church in its own right. It...More
