In a cool place relaxing quite in the sun. The beach bar is a plus. The waters are clean and clear but the beach is not so "sandy" as a lot other in Krete.

It was quite cold but we made it. Visiting these locations on a non high season has an undoubtfull advantage of enjoying the perfect scenery.

Pleasant trkking from the village to the beach. Ideal also for bikers. Short bus ride from Summer Lodge to Kolymbari and then an hours walk to the village through olive groves.

Road to Afrata beach from Kolymbari is very scenic with many places to stop; opportunity for taking pictures and to admire dramatic views. Beach itself - we visited on the cloudy day; wouldn't make a journey there for a 'beach day'. Beach is small, not...More
