What a great place. Visited in mid-Aug, so high season, and it gets a little busy but still far from crowded, just find somewhere you like.
Nice for a picnic. Easy swimming in the river and pools, and also rock-jumping for the daredevils.

Only 30/40 minutes from Solenzara centre, you can reach the peace and quiet of the river, only few people around. Choose the best spot, leave the car or bike and plunge in the fresh water. Then lie down on the rocks for a sunbath.
spent time at several of the gorges, great fun for the family for a couple of hours, go early (before 10:30 to get a good parking spot) and take a picnic as food can be expensive at the cafes, highly recommended
These pools at various intervals along the river are just gorgeous. We stayed nearby during a very hot dry spell in June so the water was warm and balmy but crystal clear so you can see the river bed even when out of your depth....More

The most amazing thing about Corsica is that lots and lots of unspoiled beaches are not the most beautiful place that you can find on island...but rivers are.
