We traveled up the Zugspitze from the Austrian side (it's a bit less expensive than going from the German side and ends up in the same place) and had a great time. It was a little cloudy, so the views from the top weren't as...More

We were literally on top of the world. My wife and I and another couple took the back roads from South Tyrol (Northern Italy) to Ehrwald to catch one of the last Zugspitzbahn rides of the day. This trip was something I've always wanted to...More

Convenient for a quick jump to the summit, however fees are in sky high. We got a family ticket for 2 adults and 2 kids amounting to EUR 150 to go up and down (including the short trip down to glacier).

Giant cable car that takes you to the highest mountain in Germany, the Zugspitze. The cabin is huge and the climbing really fast. This is really awesome!

Must visit , easier from the Austrian Side. Also Cheaper. Should take at least 2 hours to fully enjoy the surroundings.

Quite a challenge but perfectly possible with a toddler. Good restaurant facilities and suitable space nearby for a toddler to play on skis.

I wouldn't know because I've been there only during the skiing season, but I would expect it to be possible to go up and down from 8 am until maybe 10 pm in this time of the year
