We visited here as a cruise excursion stop. It is a cute area set up like a small village with a chapel and restaurant and different rooms you can visit. There with some museum items such as printing presses. There are vendors selling jewelry and handicrafts.

We stopped at this site as part of an excursion through our cruise ship. We were ushered into a restaurant where we tried a corn dish and a molasses and lime drink. Then we had some time to wander the grounds. There were demonstrations on how to extract sugar water from sugar cane, and there were also rum tastings. The grounds contained several buildings, from movie theater, to school room, to chapel, to bell tower... Everywhere one looked there were nativity scenes. It was a very unusual but interesting place. Give yourself 1-2 hrs to explore thoroughly.

We stopped at this replica/museum/ restaurant/souvenir shop on an excursion with the CDF Horizon cruise ship and the main purpose was to have lunch and taste some of the local delicacies of the island .
It was a very interesting lunch served by waitresses dressed in traditional clothing and the food was different and not too bad . We were able to get a quick glimpse of the village and what we saw looked interesting . We could have spent more time there !
