I really enjoyed the hike into the beach. Once you get to the cliff it is beautiful. I love the undeveloped side of the island. The tide pools were fairly small and there was little room to maneuver with 6 people in it at once. However, the flora seemed healthy and we saw some pretty fish. Abreu is a gorgeous rock beach with crashing waves.
You must get a ticket for this beach, which makes sense once you see how fragile and relatively small it is. Crowds would ruin it quickly.

This pool is really quite special, you must book ahead for free with your Park pass at the ICBMO 5 mins before the airport as you leave town, book when you arrive or soon after for all the places you need to book once you buy your park pass. Beautiful, 6 people at once, 30 mins max worth the effort.

It is a long ride to get to the edge, and then a long hike to get to the actual beach. There is no cell service, which makes it hard to get a ride back, if you rely on cabs. The beach has some natural pools, filled with small fishes, which can be seen snorkeling.
