Lucy Maude Montgomery was married in this house and across the street is the Lake of Shiny Water. It is very informative on a self guided tour at your own pace.

My mom wanted the carriage ride through Anne of green gables land. We were both very happy with our ride. Little pricey but people are putting food on the table. The carriage takes you by the lake of shining waters, green with yellow flower fields,...More

What a lovely place. Small and quaint and a must visit for anyone that is in love with Anne Shirley. Met one of the relatives of L.M. Montgomery and how delightful. Was transformed back into the wonderful Anne stories. Soak it all up and enjoy.

Very well done...scene is set up well..staff are very friendly and admission was not that expensive, which is nice to see. The haunted path is a very nice walk. Anne of green gables is a nice tour for kids as well.

I would say half a day is plenty enough. Make sure to visit the book store. The lady running the book store gave a beautiful little explanation about the life of the author, etc. We really enjoyed that. :)
