If you want to see Black Rhinos, this is the place. Particularly baby Rhinos - about the most appealing creature I have ever seen!

If you don't have much time for game drives, this can be a good alternative! Good sightings, we really enjoyed the hyena denne with the little ones. Nice place.

During our visit at Kololo lodge, we took the opportunity to visit also Welgevonden twice. Overwhelming landscape with great views. Jurassic park kind of roads. We have seen Lions, giraffes, elephants, hippos and white rhinos. And lots of impalas and Wilde beasts. Absolutely a visit...More

well worth the trip, but 3 hours not enough. We did have a fantastic driver who took the time to explain and stop whenever asked. Well mantained The views are "Out of Africa"

A really crap experience for the price we paid. Zero predators of note and would rather have travelled to the Kruger Park and enjoyed a proper game experience. Very overrated!

Love Welgevonden. Hope to get to go back. It's beautiful. Weather was perfect -- amazing animals and scenery. Felt like this was our own private game reserve.

Super fun in the reserve at Makweti which justifiably has the reputation for being the best of the lodges in the reserve

I went here with zero expectations and was blown away by the amount of animals that were naturally roaming around. It's not busy or too commercial here either, so fully recommend.
