The location is beautiful overlooking the lake and snow-capped mountains. I recommend taking the easy walk from Wanaka along the lake to get there. Some excellent wines and friendly informative staff.

A short drive around the lake with awesome postcard photo opportunities. Free tastings however we weren’t a fan of the wines unfortunately. No food available so not like most wineries where you can purchase a bottle with some cheese and take in the atmosphere. The...More

We arrived to try some wine and there were 3 people already tasting. We were told to walk around until they had finished? 20 min later we left. This is the fist time 20 odd years of tasting that the host was not willing to...More

At this vineyard you can only do a small wine tasting (donation for payment) and buy take away wines. You can’t buy a glass or a bottle and enjoy it on their grounds. There is no food. It will still a nice place to visit...More

Hi - Cheers for the visit and taking time to write a review. As a small family of winegrowers, we have made the decision to keep our focus on the wines themselves rather than food. Without food, we cannot legally allow any drinking on-site outside...More

Wine tasting was a good activity, good historians on board, quite a picturesque view around the vineyard, tourists are so relaxed and enjoying themselves, makes a Wanaka experience quite remarkable and interesting

We spent about an hour here doing a wine tasting with my wife and family. Wines were enjoyable and the views from the vineyard are spectacular.

Fantastic to hear you enjoyed your afternoon with us. Here's hoping you purchased a bottle or two of wine to remind you of your time here when you get back home. If not, be in touch ... shipping is easily arranged! Cheers for the review.

We took a day trip to Wanaka from Queenstown to visit a few wineries, and Rippon was my favorite. This is a family winery owned by several generations. The property is gorgeous - sweeping views of the lake and mountains. We sampled several of their...More

Thank you for the visit and review. Great to hear you enjoyed the tasting with Hamish. We had a fabulous summer team. Come back for a visit and tasting this winter if you can to meet the new team and taste our new vintages!

The location of this winery is second to none. Spectacular scenery of lake wanaka and surrounding mountains. The wines are of high quality and the service was personalised and friendly enough. It is worth a trip when in wanaka.More
