    Yellowstone, a trip worth taking.
The beauty of Yellowstone has to be seen to fully appreciate. Every single turn off along the roads are worth your time. The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is truly a hi light! Go see for yourself.

    A Must See
A must see for every visitor. Most of the viewing is fairly easy and there are several points to view. There is one trail that is fairly steep but very manageable. The views are stunning. Of course in the spring there is so much water flowing it’s magnificent. The exposed yellow rock is stunning.

Great combination of water, rock color and trails. Amazing views form different angels.
Amazing canyon for the shape of the valley, the colors and the size of waterfalls. It may not be as tall as Grand Canyon, it may not be as colorful as Bryce, it may not have the same quantity of water as the Niagara Falls, but the combination of colors, water and deepness on top of the possibility to descent to the brink of both upper and lower falls, it makes it a unique place. Various trails are around and above the falls. I would not miss the two brinks and some of the other overlook trails. The brinks requires to go up and down few hundreds feet, but it is definitively worth.

    Breathtaking!
Thomas Moran's paintings in this area helped convince Congress to set aside Yellowstone as a National Park. Moran painted the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Look at the color of the rocks. This is how Yellowstone got its name.

    Yellowstone Tour
Amazing park. We seen a lot of wild animals in each section of the park. July is a good period as weather is cool temperature ( could have morning freezing temperature early morning at 6 am) . Important to wake up early to enjoy wildlife and have the chance to encounter wild animals. Best national park lodges accommodation at Canyon Lodge & cabins and old faithfull Snow Lodge. We recommend to start you tour from North historic Entrance to have the best lands view and have the benefit of the park magnificent . Mammoth Hot springs are not active anymore. Lake Yellowstone do not offer a lot of trails and discoveries. Hayden Valley and Canyon area are best places to discover. If you go to old faithfull, skip the grand prismatic tourist site as you can not see anything from the regular tourist view point. You can park in another parking at fairy falls and do a short trail to mid geyser basin with a view point in the hill with the best view on grand prismatic.

Don’t miss the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone!
This is a MUST DO! We explored the Brink of the Upper and Lower Falls areas and it is hard to explain how wonderful and scenic it is! This is a popular spot, so plan accordingly to ensure you get parking. There are a few trails and hikes from here but we mostly stuck to the main scenic overlook.

    2nd best attraction in Yellowstone
I was surprised to see that this was the #1 thing to do in Yellowstone National Park. After seeing it, I see why everyone gives it 5 stars, but to rank it over Old Faithful, I think not. The Yellowstone River carved this incredible 1000’ gorge with its steep beautifully colored rock sides. It has not one, but two beautiful waterfalls. Part of the charm is the easy accessible short paths that are right off the parking lots which lead to short walks to perfectly placed viewing platforms. If you just have time to see one side, do the South Rim Drive. Stop at the Upper Falls Viewpoint for a nice view, but the best spot is Artist Point. Here you will find a huge multitiered observation area where each level is better than the last. It got its name from a famous painting by Thomas Moran. Best time to visit is early in the morning for best light, but we were there about noon and it was glorious. We were going to go back in the morning but it was so foggy when we left Canyon Lodge, there was no way we could see anything. Next, a separate stop is the Brink of the Upper Falls. Here you get to see the top of those same falls going over. You get to see and feel the power up close. Then there is the North Rim Drive with Grand View Lookout of the Lower Falls and Inspiration Point.

Picturesque views. Well with the time to see.
Beautiful views especially with the fall colors. Lots of places to stop and look. Check out the inspiration point and artists points especially. Not too crowded for the shoulder season, was able to find parking easily, even near the end of the day.

A must go to while visiting Yellowstone. Make sure to stop at artist point for some amazing photos.

Go early or later in the evening. Becomes very crowded between 10am until 6pm or so.

I didn’t realize there was a canyon at Yellowstone, what a view! The steps at Uncle Toms was closed so we decided to hike the Red Rock trail at lookout point and also did the brink of the lower falls trail. I recommend getting here early as it has small amounts of parking and you will want to beat the crowds. The canyon and falls was simply fantastic!

WOW, this was my favorite part of our whole Yellowstone trip. What an amazing sight and experience. We visited a number of stops all around the canyon and each one was better than the last. I highly recommend you plan to spend at least a half day exploring this area of Yellowstone and start early to avoid some crowds. This should definitely be at the top of your list for your Yellowstone trip!

The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River is not as humongously large as the famed Grand Canyon in Arizona. Nevertheless it is a magnificent sight! Best viewed early in the morning (say before 10 am) or late in the day (say after 5 pm) to avoid the enormous crowds which are visiting Artist Point or the observation points on the North rim drive. The views from Artist Point are very good indeed.

My wife and I arrived just before 8am and found plenty of parking near a trail head marked artist point and took in the spectacular view. We then took the trail to Uncle Tom's point and back. The trail was about 1.75 miles with some moderate inclines. This was one of the definite highlights of our trip to Yellowstone. I am pretty fit for 50 and I felt the hike was enough of a challenge... the payoff of these majestic views were worth every huff and puff.

The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is absolutely not to be missed. The views from the overlooks on both the North Rim and South Rim are exquisite but I suggest going early to catch the morning sun. The late afternoon sun washed out and ruined my photos so I returned to Artist’s Point the next day at dawn to score some great shots and see deer and elk!

This is a site that you have to see. Even if you can't walk up or down the trails it is awe inspiring. There are many pull outs with tremendous views. We were there early in the season without a lot of other tourists and I think that made it better.

My wife and I spent most of the day exploring various trails in this area. It was a fairly cold day with snow flurries, so we didn't do as much hiking as we would have liked. But both the upper and lower falls are spectacular and the colors in the canyon are beautiful. You could easily spend a whole day or more in this area of the park. It is a must see.

Artist Point will give you such a view. You will see the changes of colors of ignaeous rock. Lower Falls has multiple levels--falls to the left and colorful canyon to the right. Upper Falls are wide and powerful.
