So glad that I took this tour and would recommend a visit to this Memorial. We all need to be reminded of the sacrifices made on December 7, 1941.

The tour is short but appropriately so. Polarized sunglasses will help you see through the reflections in the water. I find the history behind the attack on Pearl Harbor fascinating. The memorial is simple and informative giving visitors an understanding of the magnitude of the ship and the loss of life. I found the question and answer time with the Park Ranger to be the most informative.

Being a history buff this destination has always been on my bucket list. During this time of covid the staff was very responsible about making sure everyone was safe. The memorial was very humbling and it was so inspiring to see the men and women that gave up everything so that we can be free.

The state troopers don’t have to be so angry and strict. I would ask basic questions and the trooper in charge of letting people who have reservations in for USS ARIZONA was not the friendliest. We didn’t have reservations because everyone the website said it was free. It didn’t do a good job emphasizing that we need to book in advance to visit the Arizona. If it did, I would have easily had reservations. Instead we were out on a waiting list and had to wait 2 hours until we were able to get on. I called SEVERAL times ahead of time to avoid this, and it’s an automated system. Hire someone that can work the phone line to answer calls especially during this pandemic where everything is uncertain! Also bags are not allowed inside, you will have to pay to have it checked in.

We didn't think we were going to be able to visit the memorial but luckily we got on standby. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anybody and everybody. I don't know much about Pearl Harbor but after this visit, it pained my heart about what had happened to these men that were just trying to go about their days.
