Places would be available if it is not crowded, preferably on a weekday. You can watch the 15min show on the history of the USS Arizona at the theater while waiting to get over to the memorial. At the allocated time, all visitors would be allowed to board the boat to get to the memorial. Once at the memorial, you will get to see the sunken parts of USS Arizona , the Hall of Honour, the various displays giving much information on the memorial.

My husband and I enjoyed this experience of learning more about Pearl Harbour. The USS Arizona visit was sad and quite emotional. We took a tour bus and the commentary was excellent. We then flew over Pearl Harbour in a helicopter.

This is a place you should definitely visit. This memorial was heartfelt and reminded me what USA is about. Rich history, sad story, and proud to be American! We are the land of the free, because of our brave soldiers. We went into the submarine and USS Arizona.

This is a must do when visiting Oahu. I went on several times to get a reservation and it is very difficult to get one on their site. Yet, if you go a few minutes before they open, we got in right away. The staff told us that they are gobbled up quickly and they know that a lot of times it is a tour company so they open a lot of tickets now to the public the day of.

A must do if you are visiting Pearl Harbor. Book tickets in advance online through the official government website, as tickets can sell out quickly. Tickets are free but have a $1 each booking fee. They show you a quite old introduction video in the theatre before you board the boat to the memorial. We visited on a perfectly calm day. People were very respectful once on the memorial, moving around slowly and staying quiet. You only get 10 minutes on the memorial which goes very quickly.

This was a very moving experience and was the highlight of our visit to Pearl Harbor. Boats leave from near the visitor center every 15 minutes from 8am-330p. Tickets only cost $1 but need to be reserved in advance. This is a very tough ticket to obtain, and it always sells out. You can purchase tickets from rec.gov either 8 weeks in advance or 24 hours in advance at 3pm local Hawaii time. Be ready to order right at 3pm and make sure you have learned how the website works. If you strike out, arrive first thing in the morning and join the standby line if you really want to experience the USS Arizona. You wait to wait 1-2 hours but they fill up the open spots in the boat from no-shows with those in the standby line.

This is truly a humbling and somber trip to the National Memorial in Pearl Harbor. You get to appreciate the sacrifices and heroism displayed that fateful day and take time to reflect internally that freedom is not free. Definitely take the opportunity to visit. We did the standby early in the day to avoid congested commute times.

Very moving experience. See the movie before going to the memorial. Be sure to get memorial tickets ahead of time. You can not get them otherwise. There are also other displays with movies to watch. The shuttle to Ford Island was efficient. We went to the USS Missouri. Our tour guide Lindsey was great. We did not have enough time to go to the Aviation Museum.

Just being there brought tears to my eyes, the lives that were lost. The boat ride over the Arizona Memorial was beautiful to see. I remember Elvis Presley was instrumental in donating the monies he received from his concert in 1959, to go toward the building of this Memoria.

We were there with a tour group and we only had a hour and a half in the park and thats not a lot of time to see everything. We saw the Arizona and the museum that goes with it but did not see the movie but I heard it was good. The only thing I did not like was you have to use an app to scedule a time for the Arizona. There were a lot of people very frustrated with it and when you get your time and you walk up to the entrance they put you in a line to wait. But it does go fast and they move people to the site very quickly.
