We didn't stay long because of the warning about Red Ants and how they bite and along the mission. The mission was pretty inside.

This mission has very interesting architecture. Plus, the onsite ranger was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I was very interested to see the mission and was not disappointed! Better to go on a cool day, as it gets pretty hot there. Check the weather before visiting. A must-see for Texas history buffs.

This is by far the most elaborate of the missions. We sat in the garden area and just observed the beauty before entering. Also encountered our first common ravens.

Another mission on the missions tour. I highly recommend seeing this mission as part of the missions tour but a must do even if you go it alone.

Stopped by to wander around, truly incredible to see / feel the history of this place. Very much enjoyed it and would recommend to spend 30 mins

This mission is smaller than some of the others in the area (like San Jose), and right off of a main road. With parking right in front, it makes it an easy stop to get some great info on historical settlement of Texas.

I recommend the movie at the visitors center and a guided tour if you really want to learn the particulars. I think $30 would be worth it for the multiple sites.
