Stout Grove represents an exceptional collection of redwood trees that are marvelous to visit and to photograph. The entire area, even in the height of the travel season, is not overrun with visitors, making it a great place to serenely wander in a redwood forest....More

We drove in from the Crescent City entrance and that was a spectacular drive in around the Redwood trees. When hiking around the Stout Grove walk counterclockwise so you save the best for last, the graveyard of old fallen trees. If you want a quick...More

It's an easy, relatively flat one half mile walk into the grove. Make the effort to walk the trail and experience these other world-like specimens.

Easy and walkable trail. Magnificent access to Coastal Redwood forest. It's a gem. Don't miss it on your visit to Crescent City.

If you only have the chance to go on one redwood hike, do this one. Easy for 95% of people, gorgeous and not a long way. Plus it is a loop trail that connects to other longer (and also wonderful) trails. Do. no.t miss. this.

Stout Grove is one of the most beautiful places in California. A must see! If you get an opportunity to go on a sunny day, it is spectacular.

Amazing redwoods right next to trail and all around you. We came to this are the long way, from Crescent City. Don't bring a vehicle you wish to keep pristine clean.

This is a must see place. If you are coming from Redwood Hwy going west, you must take the South Fork Road. You go over a bridge and you will take right following the sign to Stout Grove 2.5 MI. Drive SLOW so you can...More
