Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Ride at Sunrise

404 reviews
Get the best possible views of the Albuquerque area without the expense of a helicopter tour. By heading out at sunrise in a hot air balloon, you'll be able to watch and snap photos as the sun's first rays fall on the dramatic landscape of the Sandia Mountains. Dip low over the mighty Rio Grande while listening to commentary on the area's geology and environment from your pilot. Then land for breakfast and sparkling wine.

I'd heard so many different opinions about the difficulty of this trail. I'm a 51-year-old guy in decent shape, not much of a hiker but physically very active, and I found it moderate-difficult. After 4 hours of uphill hiking, THEN we hit the steep part. BUT SO BEAUTIFUL! Go early, bring plenty of water and snacks, and plan to take the tram back down.

If you're into hiking, steep winding trails this one is for you. However, there are places that are quite dangerous..many have fallen and some have even died from a fall.

What a fantastic trail, just really beautiful. I first want to thank all of those people out there who helped make this trail possible. It is a very well-groomed trail with fantastic views and awesome scenery. Word to the wise, wear good shoes, not your flip-flops or sandals. Also, bring plenty of water if you do the trail in the summer, it gets hot up there. You don't have to do the whole thing to get the full flavor and to feel good about yourself, you can do as much as you want and still get a great workout. It's a great trail and I highly recommend it to anyone living in NM or just visiting to check it out. There are restrooms at the entrance and you are allowed to bring your pooch, just keep it on a leash so he doesn't get bitten by a rattler, because they are out there.

Easy hike in a wonderful atmosphere. The views of the ABQ area are amazing. The trails are very easy to follow and with visuals to learn about the environment. Very recommendable!!!
