This museum has a couple galleries that display the museum's art collection and a gallery with history. The museum is very nice but we came to see the history part of the museum to learn about ABQ only to find most of this gallery is closed. Beware the museum closed for a second time due to covid resurgence so check website before you go. You also must buy tickets online.…

This is a beautiful museum and the exhibits are both traditional and modern. We were lucky to catch the traveling exhibition of Jim Henson and the Muppets and how he got his start. Old Town is next door so it pays to go to the museum first because they will validate your parking (there is no free parking around the Old Town area.…

This museum has much to offer. The diversity and quality of the artworks were a special treat. We’ve been twice within the past month and loved the Jim Henson Muppets Special Exhibition. The cost of $10/pp including the special exhibit and is well worth it. Also, Slate Street runs the cafe so you know that the food is going to be special. Helpful? One level useum. Varied art very enjoyable.Saw poster exhibit and Jimmy Hendrix jacket on display. Not crowded. They are have cafe and museum shop.
