Excellent birding and photography area, with our guide who was so knowledgeable! Mindo is so beautiful and friendly!

You can either walk for a good hour until you reach the cable car (tarabita) or take a taxi for 6$. If you are fit enough, I would suggest not to waste your money on a taxi ride and just walk. It's not as beautiful...More

This is adventurous but much fun especially if you are over 50 like me you get a real life check. The forest is gorgeous and you can zipperwire almost in 6 different directions but we have done just 3 with emotion and was worth it.

Beautiful ! From the very 1st moment riding that tarabita to hiking around and finding every waterfall. It's a bit humid so bring appropriate clothing, but do not forget your swimsuits as well to dip in the water. Found a friendly dog on the way,...More

This Forrest is filled with life , the rivers and waterfalls are surrounded by exotic plants that burst out of every inch of space. The hike through the jungle landscape is picturesque and unforgettable, there are insects so I advise to wear a comfortable long...More

We rode the Tarabita over the cloud forest reserve and walked to the first two of the waterfalls before heavy rain that made the trail slippery forced us to turn around. It is a beautiful part of Ecuador, definitely worth visiting.

We stayed at the Coffee Tree Spa and had the front desk secure us a round trip taxi and also purchase in advance the entrance ticket. Once we arrived on top of the mountain we knew it was a good idea to do the round...More

We rode the cable car over the canopy then hiked to Nambillo Falls. The trail is uneven, had lots of stairs and is sometimes a bit muddy. Hiking sticks were helpful. This is not a good trail for those with really bad knees or other...More

We booked this private tour the day before. Our hotel offered a tour to Mindo, but we wanted more control over the itinerary and didn't want to potentially be stuck in a large group. Plus, we wanted to do more than just drive by and...More

To describe just how incredible mindo is, is really hard. I have been to many parts of the amazon rainforest and never saw half as much wildlife and fauna as I did in mindo. If you are a nature lover then you must go here....More

We were not required or advised to get the yellow fever vaccine. I would recommend bug spray though (without CFCs), especially if you will be hiking.

Sorry. We are a mature couple. We visited Mindo without a guide. Sorted ourselves out once there and didn't feel we needed a guide. Hopped on a bus in Quito and stayed for 4 days. Loved it. Hope you do.
