You can either walk for a good hour until you reach the cable car (tarabita) or take a taxi for 6$. If you are fit enough, I would suggest not to waste your money on a taxi ride and just walk. It's not as beautiful...More
This is adventurous but much fun especially if you are over 50 like me you get a real life check. The forest is gorgeous and you can zipperwire almost in 6 different directions but we have done just 3 with emotion and was worth it.
Beautiful ! From the very 1st moment riding that tarabita to hiking around and finding every waterfall. It's a bit humid so bring appropriate clothing, but do not forget your swimsuits as well to dip in the water. Found a friendly dog on the way,...More

To describe just how incredible mindo is, is really hard. I have been to many parts of the amazon rainforest and never saw half as much wildlife and fauna as I did in mindo. If you are a nature lover then you must go here....More
Sorry. We are a mature couple. We visited Mindo without a guide. Sorted ourselves out once there and didn't feel we needed a guide. Hopped on a bus in Quito and stayed for 4 days. Loved it. Hope you do.
