I just a movie at the Astor Theatre; they are now having live performances of Pippin, August 16-19 at 7:30pm and August 20 at 2pm. Their seats are comfortable and the sight lines are great. Looking forward to Pippin!

A beautiful, old theater. Acoustics are amazing. Great live show venue for concerts and plays. We have been treated in the past 3 years to some amazing musicals such as Rocky Horror, The Full Monty and most recently Les Miserables for 8 nights of standing ovations-last 6 nights sold-out! Small town, but theater seats 350. Refurbishment underway with new digital cinema equipment and plans to fix the washroom problems and add lobby space, etc. Keep an eye on the website for upcoming events.

We attended a Lunch at Allens performance a few days ago. What a remarkably entertaining performance. There's really not a bad seat in the house; the acoustics are excellent; the feel and vibe are simply 'comfortable'; and its certainly a place where you feel the history and most importantly, new memories in the making.

What a charming place to view a concert of a recital. This grand lady of a performing arts building has aged well. A was pleasantly surprised by the acoustics in the building. You could hear clearly from any seat in the house - including the balcony. The interior has been magnificently restored. I would highly recommend touring the building but if you can get to see a show that would be even better.

The Astor Theatre was opened in 1902 as the Opera House. It has been in continuous use for well over a hundred years. Two theatre companies call the Astor home. There are regular concerts offered by local and professional musicians. Significant upgrades over the past several years ensure greater opportunity to actors, musicians and patrons. Biennial events the Liverpool International Theatre Festival and the International Ukulele Ceilidh call the Astor home.

Just 380 seats approximately, but all good seats. Excellent accoustics too. Many well known performers have passed through this stage. The setting is intimate. The results preofessional. Worth a visit. Worth a return visit.

Ventured down from Halifax to the Astor to see The Stanfields & The Trews and this venue did not disappoint! Perfect size for an intimate concert. It provides wonderful ambiance and the acoustics were great. Staff were very friendly and you were escorted to your seat upon arrival. Can't wait to go down again for another show!

This is a large theatre for a small town. Seats are comfortable and there isn’t a bad seat in the house. It was not at all busy for performance we attended but the staff were all friendly. There’s plenty of parking around back in the parking lot. They have drinks & snacks available, albeit a very limited selection.
