If the park ranger tells you it takes two hours, it might actually take you 3ish. The summit view was my favorite but there are large portions that are straight up all stairs at almost 90 degree angle. Still beautiful and worth it!

If you like to run and have a challenging moments this is for you. You departure from Mill Valley downtown (back of Old Mill Park) and arrive to Stinson Beach. It is great experience especillay when it is a foggy day. Carry water with you.

This place is the ultimate in beach front dining. It is cute, clean and looks like something designed for a TV set. Great service but it gets crowded because there are not many tables. The food is solid - tacos, burritos, milkshakes, fries, freshly made...More

We parked on the beach side walked up to the ridge via the Dipsea and back down the way we came up. After the hike a friend gave us a great map of the area from the Tamalpais Lands Collaborative that shows a number of...More

we did this trail for the promise of beautiful coastal scenes but you leave the woods for a lot of this trail and if the fog is in SF (which it is a lot), you will be doing a lot of walking with no views

So a couple friends and I decided to do the whole 10 mile trail to Stinson beach. It was a relatively difficult hike so bringing snacks and water is a MUST. The trail offers some pretty outstanding views and extremely rewarding for the work put...More

The hike begins in the town of Mill Valley. The steps for the trailhead are in a very nice neighborhood. The day we hiked it, a couple of section of the steps were under construction. The detour lead us on streets through more neighborhoods. When...More
