My wife and I enjoy walking the peaceful and lovely grounds of Frelinghuysen Arboretum and taking pictures of the wide variety of plants and flowers growing here. Each season brings something different to see.

I discovered this place in 2019 and wanted to go back in the spring, so glad I did! The flowering trees and all the daffodils were beautiful! Definitely a nice place for a walk to quiet place to sit and look at all the beauty.

This was a great find. Went to a wedding in the area, and went there on getaway day. Was before many things were blooming, some things were coming up. You could see how great it would be when things are blooming. All the trees and shrubs were nicely labeled. Nice trails, very peaceful and pleasant. Great display of old horse drawn carriages

You don’t have to drive way up north to see the Autumn Colors; you can see them right here in Morristown at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum. My wife and I spent an enjoyable afternoon exploring and taking pictures of the estate grounds and gardens. We’ve been here years ago in the spring and summer, but this was the first time in the fall. We also found the carriage house very interesting with the different types of carriages. This definitely won’t be our last seasonal visit to the lovely Frelinghuysen Arboretum.

The entrance has very little to guide you and we develop apprehensions. But once inside, we encounter loads of info on various types of plants, the way they are cultivated, their applications etc etc. The wooded area provides a great walkway. The whole set up is exceptionally well maintained and can be enjoyed in self help mode without hassles. We should slow down and take in the info as well as the beauty one by one in a relaxed manner. The guidelines for garden management offered to householders are top class. Great place to visit in the area.

it was right under our nose and we did not get a hint of it. we visited one fine afternoon with parents. parking is easy to find. Stop at the visitor center and the roam this beautiful garden.
Enjoy a picnic on the Great Lawn, take memorable family photographs under the Rose Garden Arbor, celebrate a wedding under a reservable tent, read a book next to a water feature, tour the Carriage House, and be amazed at the historic horse-drawn carriages. it was straight from 70s Cowboy movies.

Frelinghuysen Mansion situated in the park looks great, but it was closed. the rose garden just beside it, was beautiful. This breathtaking site also offers a wedding. The first Sunday of every month, a free tour of the grounds is offered at 2 p.m., leaving from the Education Center. Monthly art exhibits provide interest when you need a respite from spring rains. The first weekend in May, The Friends of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum’s Annual Plant Sale fills the big tent with carefully selected, well-bred plants.

Hard to believe in busy Morristown there is a lovely place to relax and walk and just enjoy nature. There are still some roses out...but lots of other different plants, flowers and trees to look at. There are quite a few benches up and around the buildings, but only a couple as you walk down around the meadow and conifer area. We were told area was level and an easy walk, but it's downhill, pathway a bit uneven and then of course uphill on the return trip. With my knees and my husband's legs not the greatest, a couple more places to rest would have been nice. The area was so pretty...we didn't really mind. It was worth the effort. Saw groundhogs, deer and many birds on our walk. Great place to get away for a little while. Will def go back again.

We had just visited The Morris Museum and wanted to spend some time outside to enjoy the beautiful day. The arboretum was only a few minutes away and we had a very pleasant time walking in the gardens
