You can either walk along the beach with the cliffs above towards Sheringham or in the other direction. In the summer months it can get too crowded for that relaxing stroll behind the cliffs.

A great space to walk for as far as you want to go. It’s a mix of sandy and pebbly, can be a bit wet underfoot. Easy walking, plenty of bracing air. Lovely whichever way you decide to go.

One side of the pier is more sandy than others. They have a surf school too. To get down to the beach there are steep steps or a slope. Cromer on the whole was a lovely little town with one way arrows on each side of the road to help with social distancing, however. It annoyed us that a lot of people didn’t take any notice of them or follow social distancing rules!!…
