A wonderful renovated castle with much history, small, tiny and romantic streets, to stroll in the evening, when it's not so hot, nice to visit the fortress, the church, the castle of Benedicte XIII (Papa Luna); great place and super views, a must to visit.

This castle has one of the most informative self-guided tours of any I’ve seen. Being right on the coast, you get spectacular views of the Med.

The place is steeped in history. The castle gave fantastic views. Be careful of the cobbled stones. You will find cute shops and streets. Only the residents can drive up here so the traffic is not bad. The views of the beaches are great with...More

I was overwelmed with this place! The castle is in a great condition and you can't stop wondering how come it can be so old and in such a good shape. The view from the rooftop is the most beautiful you can imagine. It is...More

Don't miss going in here if in old town of Peniscola. Most exhibits have translations in 3 languages. Amazing views from the upper battlements.

Peñiscola castle was used by the Templars many hundreds of years ago and shows signs of occupancy over a long period. Plan for a day here if you include a walk round the adjacent Artillery park (included in the entry fee). The castle was the...More

Breath taking views of two beaches neck to neck - you'll understand only when you see the incredible view from the room roof of the Castelle. Very touristic hotels.

This castle is unique in that it was built by the Knights Templar, and has been restored to its original condition. More of a fortress than the typical castles you would visit . There is so much to see. The history behind the castle is...More

Hi, you can visit the main hall where there are Templar artefacts to be seem. The place looked like a permanent feature. I suggest you allow at least three hours for the castle and two or so for the Artillery gardens. J
