This museum in the prison used to detain dissidents against communism in Romania is a must see. We don't often think about the people who were fighting against communism behind the scenes, and were often imprisoned for it. Very emotional place to visit.

This museum is an old prison for political prisoners. It is more or less a museum for visitors that speak Romanian. For others it is just interesting to see the building and nothing else.

The museum is set in a Communist gulag. They have preserved the original floor plan of the prison, and just filled each of the cells with exhibits on different people, events, and phases of the Communist era. There are also a number of moving sculptures...More

This museum is an informative documentation of the communist period, both in Romania and in the communist bloc. It is in the old communist prison and each of the displays are in a different cell, over three floors. We didn't know much about this period...More
