Always worth a visit. During the second weekend of September, you can also enjoy the Fiesta for the Madonna, when the whole town is filled with alters for the Madonna, and flowers and decorations throughout the town. Also the rest of the year, well worth...More
Bosa is a charming , small city with pastel colored buildings along the river and small port. It is a very steep climb to the castle. I strongly suggest taking the small train which drops you off close by the castle.
We passed through the city of Bosa on our way to Arthego, we had a stroll through the old town, though did not fancy the tour to the castel. Too long and too hot then. We did fancy the little streets and old fashioned shops...More
The view from the castle is stunning so don't miss an opportunity to slowly walk up through the small streets where the elderly sit and chat outside, and see along the way a few historical buildings. As is the case for most Sardinian towns, the...More

The colors, the river, the cobbled streets, the beach. We spent two nights in Bosa and wish we could have stayed longer.
For the second afternoon in a row we are watching daily life go by at the nice terrace of Bar da Zio Tore.

I can not answer about the bus as we had a private bus set up for our Tour Group. Traveling alone I would go for the Car Hire which gives you the options of stopping along the way and visiting various places in and near Bosa. We stopped several time along the coast road down to Bosa as the coastal view is very beautiful.
