The villa is nothing very special compared to other villas in Italy. I´m sorry....! But be sure to get one of the guided tours in the gardens!

We were on a minibus tour with audio guides which were very helpful and informative. The grounds are stunning and vast but hard to appreciate as we weren't allowed off the bus.

Book through the Vatican directly and they take care of you once you enter into their property at the museums. Wonderful experience!. See my other review about Castel Gandolfo for a more in depth description.

The gardens were absolutely awe inspiring. The place is filled with history. The yogurt, which is made right there, and the olive oil are great. It is truly a one in a life time opportunity.

It's a nice half-day trip from Rome. It was interesting even I am not religious. Gardens are amazing.
