Until recent years this was exclusively the summer residence of the Popes which is now open to the public. The gardens are indescribable and peaceful. The tour of the residence is fascinating and informative.

Was at the former summer palace of the pope. How beautiful to tour in the comfortable vehicle with the guide and audioguide. The tour of the apartments was also beautiful with unbelievable views of the lake from every window.

Yes you can buy tickets at the Castel. It is easier to access if you catch a bus from the train station otherwise you will have a long steep climb
