I went here looking for information on an ancestor. The exhibits are quite superficial (no regiment lists, etc), but are interesting and cover all of the major (and minor wars). Santa Anna's leg was cool, and I enjoyed looking at all of the changes in...More

This was interesting if only to see Santa Ana's fake leg. The most moving part was right at the start of the tour. A tribute to all the kids who recently gave their lives in the full service of this country. Very moving reading letters...More

Loved to see the 'board' which Lincoln used for target practice with the new Spencer repeating rifle. A perfect 7 out of 7 shots at 40 yards. No bad for a President, eh?

It's a small museum but well worth the visit. They have artifacts from every military action since the war of 1812.

The hubs and I are both very into history and military artifacts and guns in general. I am the type to quickly walk through something and not linger unless there is quite a bit to read to understand what I am looking at. Hubs however...More

We visited on a weekday afternoon with 3 other families. We had 11 kids ranging from 3 to 14 in our party but after seeing pictures of the grounds, I knew just exploring the grounds would be worth it. As soon as we entered the...More

They have Santa Anna's leg which is an interesting odd bit of history. It is comprehensive and has enough guns and uniforms for the men, I'd like a more "home front" and women at war material but they don't have room and are already full...More

Nephews wife's baby shower was on this date and men were going golfer. Wrong rained out. Went here instead. Lived 45 miles away and never knew it existed. Glad we got rained out. Very interesting and very nice facility.
