These are minor but very attractive waterfalls / rapids close to the road and worth a stop if you are driving past. The short walk from the parking lot to the river is easy and very pleasant.

This waterfall is just a short walk from the parking lot. There is a bridge overlook but if you want to get closer there is a trail off to the left that you can walk down. It was muddy but worth it to get closer...More

While you are on Icelandic route trip, make a stop here. Even it is close to Route 1, you have great chance to be here alone. I suggest to go for short walk through small trees to get closer to waterfall. It is worth for...More

Small, compared to others, but striking with it's black lava floor and white water. It was one of my favorites. Short walking path to get to it. Don't be a silly head like me and think at first it was a small road!

This waterfall is still a bit of the beaten track, even though it is very close to the Ring Road. You have a good chance that you visit it alone, which makes it even more special. The waterfall is less impressive as the big ones,...More

As you travel the long way from North to West you have few spots to enjoy nature and this is one of them, otherwise will be a long drive. Take a break and do few steps. Enjoy!

Turned off the Ring Road to check out this waterfall. It's more of a wide series of cascading mini-falls that's worth the short hike.

This was a nice stop while traveling the ring road. A nice short hike down a path and the waterfall was bigger than I expected. Nice view of it from the platform and the area around it. Overall not the best Iceland has to offer,...More

Not as tall as some other in Iceland but just as lovely. It was raining so we had the views all to ourselves. Park at the golf clubhouse and it is a short walk to the falls and beautiful views!
