L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue was on our list of places to visit so we decided to go on Sunday which was market day. We were staying in Avignon so we took train and arrived there in 30 minutes. Don't visit many markets but found this one worth doing....More

Found this town to be the least attractive spot in Provence. Pure schlock. I guess if you have to go to a large market day, then maybe you will find some redeeming value. The natural beauty of the surrounding environs were trashed by the throngs...More

All types of beautiful food and goods. Antiques a little disappointing. Overall a great way to tour the city and see all the streets and the market at the same time.

If your staying in L’Isle sur la Sorgue then a trip to the market is a must, Thursday is smaller while Sunday much larger and includes an area with antiques. So much to see and experience. You’d be mad to miss it!

We’d been to the market at Saint Remy, and this one was just as good, if not better! It was vast. The whole area alongside the river was taken up with stalls and traders with a huge variety of excellent quality goods. Don’t miss it...More

A very busy market in a beautiful town. We got there early on the Sunday and managed to park straight away. We thought the antiques were very expensive - almost as if they are trying to capitalise on the fact it’s an “antiques capital” suffice...More

I love a good market and I love to shop, so I was excited to experience as many as I could in southern France...Arles, Aix, L'Isle Sur la Sorgue, Apt, Menerbes. I kept reading that this one was the best in France or this one...More

We have been to this market several times and it is a great market - no doubt. There are a few things that are good to know before you come. Parking is very difficult - you'll likely need to park on one of the streets...More

We had rented a vehicle and often got lost which can be a good thing. As the other reviewer mentioned, there is a bus that will get you there but with all the small roads, everything takes time. Enjoy L'isle, it's worth the... More
