The market winds through many of the streets in the old town and along the river and canals. Just strolling is fun and there is a lot of activity on the water during market to watch. Arrive early for easier parking.

The main reason we visited, the sunday market is exceptional by any standards, less sprawling than Apt and bigger than most. And Isle sur la Sorgue provides a wonderful backdrop.

The weekly market in L’Isle is one of the largest, and nicest weekly markets in the Provence. It has been awarded the golden parasol award for its size and organization. The market is spread out over a large portion of central L’Isle, in 7 or...More

We had a great time at the market! Foodie paradise in a lovely French village. We went on a Thursday morning and shopped with the locals. I’d like to go back to the Sunday market someday as there’s more antiques but Thurs was still worth...More

We have been to several French food markets and this was by far the most enjoyable. Beautiful setting - we really enjoyed the scenic waterways. And not too busy or crowded. We arrived in the town at 8.30am, this was on the early side as...More

This place is a market goer's dream come true! Absolutely everything under the sun can be found here. Wear comfy shoes, and bring a hat, along with a few shopping bags. Don't worry if you forget yours, many to choose from there! Enjoy the day!

Let me first list my credentials for writing this review. I’m male and like most males hate shopping. What I hate even more is aimlessly strolling around street markets like a disobedient sheep dog on an invisible leach. So it is with great surprise that...More

This is a very good market... We went on a Sunday. There are lots of different types of stalls selling good quality food in particular. The only downside is the crowds in summer... It was thronged. We were staying in Isles sur la sorgue so...More

Apparently the markets are only on three days a week and we jagged one of those days. The markets sell everything from 'flea market' items through to clothing, meats, fruit and veg, cheeses etc. etc. It was very crowded when we were there on a...More

We had rented a vehicle and often got lost which can be a good thing. As the other reviewer mentioned, there is a bus that will get you there but with all the small roads, everything takes time. Enjoy L'isle, it's worth the... More
