I can't believe this place exists - bit on the gross side but a tourist attraction none-the-less - I heard they have to clean all the gum off a few times if not more per year

The Gum Wall is located just below Pike Market, on Post Alley. It is a "collection" of thousands of wads of chewed gum that have been pushed onto the brick walls in the alley (not to mention pipes, window frames, etc). It is bizarre for...More

My teenagers had this at the top of their list to see in Seattle. I must say it was not what I expected...I have never seen so much chewing gum! This was one of the most gross things I have seen, but it was cool...More

Stumbled on this while at Pike Place Market. Checked it off the list of things I didn't know I needed to see. It is exactly as the name describes- gum on every surface possible.

We decided to take a quick walk through the alley with the Gum wall. It was really gross but super awesome at the same time. It’s cool to see how gum can make abstract art. If you are near the public market take the time...More

I mean it’s gross gum stuck to a wall? I guess I get the appeal as something interesting to do but it just seems a little wacky for me

Post Alley (underneath Pike’s Market) is where people leave chewing gum on the wall. The result is vaguely arty, but also a bit icky. Needs about 5-10 mins max to see it.

Near pikes market, you have the opportunity to leave a piece of yourself behind in Seattle. All you have to do is take a piece of gum to the gum wall in Post Alley and you leave behind your DNA and cooties. This probably isn’t...More

About 20 years ago, but the city of Seattle is taking it all down soon. I just saw it in the news last week.
