I cannot recommend this company enough- our guided kayak trip to the Aialik Glacier Glacier was truly amazing. Not only did we love the kayaking and seeing the glacier up close, but even the boat ride there was incredible with all the views and animals we were able to spot. Whales, seals, bald eagles, goats, otters, and other animals were all spotted and the captain graciously kept and eye out and stopped for us to see/take pictures. On top of that our guide, Richard, was fun, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the trip, including all the ecosystems in the area. There wasn’t a question he didn’t know the answer to. Other guides seemed great as well on the boat ride, everyone was super friendly and helpful, but I got to give it to my guy Richard. Truly an incredible experience, hands down recommended, 11/10. Also, they give back 1% to the planet and let you choose which non-profit at the end of your trip! Loved how environmentally conscious they were- it was the initial reason we picked them.

We work hard to communicate our values and the "why" behind our company, so it means a lot to us to hear that these things came through on your tour. We believe that for people to take action to protect our planet, they must first feel connected to and have an understanding of it; we're fortunate to get to facilitate those experiences. And we agree that Richard is phenomenal, and we're so lucky to have him on our team. Thanks for taking a moment to share your words of support - it means a lot! With gratitude, Trent

We had a great time kayaking on a beautiful morning with Candace! We kayaked out to a rocky beach and back on wonderfully glassy water. We don't kayak often so the shorter trip was good for us.

It sounds like your choice to join us for a Half Day Resurrection Bay Trip was the perfect fit for your adventure goals. While all of our tours require no previous kayak experience, the Half Day Trip runs just 4 hours door-to-door, with about 2.5 hours of kayaking, which is enough for those who don't have much experience to gain a great sense of accomplishment by the trip's end! We can also see a range of conditions here in Resurrection Bay, but our morning tours often experience the calmest (and therefore easiest) paddling conditions. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience here, we so appreciate it. Best, Trent

We were a group of 8 visiting Alaska for the first time. This was our first activity during our 10 day vacation and it turned out to be the best one. Some of us had never kayaked before but Trent and Candace made us all at ease and confident that we were in good hands. The day couldn’t be any more gorgeous and being out in the water surrounded by majestic mountains while kayaking next to bald eagles was simply magical. Also, kayaking provided a connection to the native people who formed this land. It’s no wonder that their connection to nature is spiritual. Lastly, it happened to me my birthday and this experience made it one of my best. If you’re on the fence about booking with them, don’t be. Oh and one more thing, they donate a portion of their proceeds to charity. Win, win, winner! We hope to do it again!

It was an honor to share this place with your group. I loved watching your sense of wonder and appreciation for this area grow, and was lucky to be able to celebrate your birthday with you! KAW is proud to be a member of 1% For The Planet, and we make a point of allowing our guests to participate by choosing which non-profit they want their portion of our donation to go towards. A lot of great organizations work tirelessly to protect our little corner of Alaska, and we are excited to connect our guests with them. Thanks for joining us in protecting wild places, and thanks too for taking a moment to write such wonderful words of support. With gratitude, Trent

My parents and I had a great time during our kayak adventure in Resurrection Bay. Laban was a great tour guide who provided clear guidance and was very personable. His outgoing and engaging personality really defined the experience. I was also impressed with the professionalism of the operation - KAW had all the required equipment and even had snacks for us during our break. Highly recommend this company! P.S. We were originally scheduled for the Aialik glacier kayak tour but forecast rough seas canceled the trip. KAW called me the day prior to share the disappointing news, but they quickly provided a full refund and suggested the Resurrection Bay kayak tour which is what we ended up doing.

I'm honored that although your day didn't go as planned, you still took the time to share your experience here; it truly means more than I can tell you. It is our least favorite part of the job when we have to make weather calls and cancellations for rough seas, as you mentioned happened for your Aialik Glacier Day Trip. While some things are out of our control, like the weather, we always try to be transparent and flexible so that our guests can still make the most of their visit. The Half Day Resurrection Bay Tour fortunately doesn't experience those open ocean swells, so it's a great option for adventurous and adaptable folks who are still excited to get on the water. I'm so glad your family found it enjoyable and memorable. We'd love to get you all out on the water again some day if you ever make it back to Seward! With gratitude, Trent

The rush of whitewater rafting is something we wish we could do every day! Neal was our guide and he was excellent! You want to do all 3 canyons! And buy the photos post-trip! They are also amazing!
