More water sport activities sail from Honokohau Harbor than any other location on the big island of Hawaii; whether you’re looking to dive or sail, MANY captains and charter companies are ready to take you out on the Pacific Ocean along the usually calm Kona...More

I like to take guests down to the harbor to see all the fishing boats and tour boats as they come and go. Sometimes we see huge marlin or Ono Or Ahi being brought in.

Cute little harbor that needed to be expanded a decade ago. I hope that there are future plans to expand or build another harbor. It’s always fun to go down in the afternoon and watch the charter boats come in and weigh the large fish.

I know most people come here to go sport fishing on charter boats and other recreational cruses. But for me it is the Fish & Chips served with a scooner of Beer. Great place for a mid day meal and an ice clod beer with...More

We went on a snorkeling trip with our 14 year old daughter. They went over the basic procedures and we were able to swim right next to a group of spinner dolphins. We didn't really see any tropical fish. The marina was easy to find.

The marina is where fishing boats can be chartered. Tours are offered for snorkeling, dinner cruises, whale watching and sightseeing. It was interesting to see all the different boats – from yachts to small fishing boats. You can sit on the shoreline and watch the...More

I don't know about derby weigh ins as they are set individually by closing time. Generally, look at the times 4 hour fishing trips return and later ones as they are done only if there are really big fish caught. Not done at... More
