The church has an old and a new part. The altar is in the middle and that's weird. It is worth a visit.

We always pop in here while on our ski holiday , it is so calm and light , a real surprise . You open the door into a different world from the bussle of the ski life....very pretty too.

Located in the centre of the village the building is well maintained and has been extended. The village is based on families who have local history and are identified when passing on. If in the location it is worth a visit.

Absurd that a place as small as Obergurgl has a church as old as this - which had to be extended to make room for worshippers! I don't do religion but I love churches and as they go, this was an unexpected pleasure.
