This road is not for nervous drivers or bad drivers, as it's very narrow and bendy. We drove from Moos, so it's a constant ascend, many narrow turns which we had to compete for space with motorcycles and bikes. But it's definitely worth it, coz...More

there really is only one way to tackle this - from the south. brilliant views, the obligatory switchbacks then a softer return to civilisation as you drop into the Otztal.

The Timmelsjoch / passo Rombo high alpine road offers a series of magnificent views and a nice spot for a break on the top / border between Austria and Italy. The pass is sometime called the secret passage because it is much less used and...More

In October, we drove over the mountain pass (aka Passo del Rombo in Italian), which was still open. Because of the dense fog it was a thrilling ride and unfortunately sometimes limited the view to just a few meters. Still it was a beautiful experience!

Passage from Austria to Italy. High in the mountains with spectacular views and nice works of art. A little expensive maybe: 16 euro for a car (single trip)
