This cable car was a great way to get quite high up the mountain - there are 2 stages and on both stages there are restaurants and excellent walking trails. There is paragliding at the second stage and both have activities for children. I have...More

The cable car ride was worth the price of the tickets, though the skiing was wonderful in the morning. Nice long easy slopes for the novice, though they became quite crowded in the afternoon. We were skiing Christmas day, so I imagine most skiers had...More

My first ever trip on a gondola lift up a mountain and so I was a little apprehensive. It was great, modern, easy to use and gave us access to wonderful hikes with fab views.

We went up the Penkenbahn twice and really enjoyed both walks when we got there. Good facilities, great views.

This is a superb lift. Modern and a huge capacity, but it's slowed down in the summer which gives great opportunity to enjoy the views. The trails at the top are amazing as are the views they offer. Great hiking but at over 20 euros...More

We’ve returned to this area 6 times as it’s a lovely big area lots to do and the different mountains are easy to get to and explore. Great mountain bars and apres up the mountain especially Pils bar at the end of the day.

Great system. Penkenbahn has gondolas that take up to 20 people. The queues were very short, even at peak times (around 9am) in Easter week. Staff very helpful. Lift stations spotless. Really impressive resort (not as many black runs as some other resorts). Per other...More

Hi There, We had a double locker last year and it cost us 63 euros for six days from Intersport at the top of the Penken, nice modern heated lockers.

Don't know about parking because we were staying in Mayrhofen and walked but there was no snow at all in July, so I doubt there would be in October. The Hintertux Glacier has snow 365 days a year. We went there by bus from... More

Hello. I haven't walked it myself but would agree it would be a difficult walk down and it is a long way! Allow plenty of time.
