This is a large. cable car taking you up the mountain. It takes 120 people and is a very efficient system. It was packed when we went up but very quickly people dispersed around the mountain. Views and walks are well signed, there are many...More

The views are stunning and the walking trails are fantastic. The lift up is modern... and the cabin is huge. My only gripe is the cost puts you off a quick up and down. We had three hours to kill before our transport home but...More

Again a very nice walk around on the Ahorn, a winding path up to the cross or a walk to the Edelhuette

This was our first winter ski trip to Austria having previously been to France and Italy for previous 15 years. Unlike French resorts transfer from Innsbruck airport by coach only took 1 1/2 hours, instead of 3-4 hours needed for getting to places like Tignes....More

Very nice ski slopes. The condition of the snow was perfect. Lots of different slopes for different levels of skiers. Some were challenging and some very fun. There were many lifts too, so the crowds were distributed to different parts of the valley.

Apart from poor hotel Strolz that we would not recommend. Mayrhofen was fantastic. Great skiing and plenty to do around town. Apres skiers heaven. Good shops, restaurants, bars and clubs. Something for everyone. Paragliding and ice skating rink also add to things to do.
