After exploring the Sigmund Thun gorge we walked around this lake. There are information boards with wildlife, birds, flora and fauna. Also a play area for children. Very well managed and well worth a visit.

It is a small lake close to the valley station to the Kitzsteinhorn, at the end of Sigmnud-Thun klamm. At the road there is a parking lot and from here you can walk around the lake and enjoy it. Or you can use it as...More

Been a couple of times. Once in Summer and the other in Winter. Clean air and amazing scenery. Great family and couple exploring opportunity.

It's such a beautiful place, all the colours and the water :) I would lovr to go again, someone who like nature as much as I do must go to this place if you are near.

At the top of the gorge this lake is somewhat unexpected. You can walk all the way round it (or run around as it's part of the adventure running routes). Nice little hut at the top of the lake, well worth a visit.

There's a lovely walk around the lake here and plenty of shallow water for the children to play in. Fairly quiet too even on a hot day so must be pretty undiscovered...much easier than the trek into Zell Am See for another day.

A beautiful little lake with great views of the surrounding mountains. You can walk all the way around in about 30mins, park at one end. Relaxing and serene.

We visited here one afternoon for a couple of hours and had a really nice time. The views are beautiful and it's just a nice size for a short walk. The weather wasn't great the day we went. Although this didn't spoil it for us,...More

Its a calm and clean lake although small compared to other lakes in the area. Overall a good place to relax and spend sometime time with kids.

There is a bus to Kaprun but you can ride to Sigmud Thun Klamm and get out there it's connected to Klammsee and worth seeing. There is internet page ÖBB Scotty you can find departure time and price there.
