We walked to the gorge from our hotel in central Kaprun, which took about 15-20mins. You can get a bus there but there is really no need. There are toilets in the car park before you enter, so good to check with young children before...More

We visited the gorge as the start point of our hike up the mountain expecting an exciting and challenging beginning to our day. The gorge is beautiful with some cool waterfalls but we were surprised and slightly disappointed with how quickly we had passed through...More

This is a different tour of the gorge at dusk, cheaper than visiting in the day and has illuminated areas along the route. At the end there is traditional music around the camp fire and jacket potatoes for everyone followed by a torch lit walk...More

At the base of the small canyon is a small, free museum about the power plant the water drives---with free, clean, restrooms. The "hike" itself is well worth the minimal cost---such lovely views being down in the canyon---nearby free trails do not get down where...More

Not long but as much better. Today wasn’t much water so the last waterfall (the one coming down the lake) was nearly dry. But I myself was feeling the living energy of this space. Go for it 👍

Nice for when you need a relaxing day between big hikes but still want to see how impressive nature can be. Info centre is really interesting and the gorge is great fun

What a beautiful gorge with several waterfalls - particularly refreshing during the heatwave that reigned during our visit to Austria. Walk to the invigorating sound of rushing water, climbing wooden flights of stairs and sheltered by trees.

We went to this place at night cause they promised to do a tour with torches above the river. After we paid for the tour, they told us no torches cause weather is dry, gave us light sticks instead. At the end of the tour,...More

Before you go in there is interesting exhibition on how they make their hydro electric. The gorge itself is a pleasant and cool walk along a boardwalk. You exit at the top and have a choice to go back to the entrance or carry on...More

Very enjoyable for family with kids. You must get into the water, which is by the way cold. Have some clothes to change as you will get wet. I wish they have a picnic area for barbecue, but it is not allowed.
