Custer State Park is a jewel. Dramatic scenery, wildlife, and fast fast temperature changes ( 3 inches of snow on Saturday and heavy fog to a beautiful, warm fall day on Monday - we were there both days)
Fantastic scenery of the rocks, forests, and mountains leading up to Mt. Rushmore. The highlights are the tunnels that frame views of the presidents' heads on Mt. Rushmore. The first time people see these sights, there is no avoiding "WOW!"

Love the bridges and the tunnels. I was really shocked when I got out to take a picture at the first tunnel and saw it framed the Presidents. What a great design. Next time I need the sports car for this great drive.
