We enjoyed this small campground and thought it was well managed. The Campground greeter couple came by to make sure we were set up and see if we needed anything. It's centrally located and sheltered from the winds. The hike around the lake is fun...More

Pretty lake with swimming, walking/hiking loop around lake, gorgeous sunsets. There is a little restaurant attached to the lodge/food store so you can have a meal on the deck on the water. Lake is right near cabins and the campground but not so close that...More

Passed by here a couple of times and the lake was always in use. The elk herd was roaming around the area at night but we were not lucky to see them but did see couple of bison in the area.

The lake is quite attractive but nothing special. There is a trail round the lake which is described as “moderate to strenuous” but the start looked easy so we gave it a try. In reality it is easy or easy to moderate with just a...More

The Lodge was another great dining experience and the scenery is worth appreciating. We easily understood the value that SD places on this park, for natural beauty and scenic wonders, as well as history and culture of the area.

We went to Legion lake everyday and enjoyed the views and breakfast in the lodge. There is a great trail that goes around the lake and it is easy for little ones.

When you are visiting this area you need to see as much as you can. This is just so peaceful. This is another must.

We didn't spend much time here but it sure looks like a great place to visit, have a picnic, hike. Close to other tourist attractions.

We enjoyed the beach, the swimming, the kayaking. The backdrop is really pretty and the backdrop behind the lake is really cool. Its a great spot for a post-hike cool-off.

Beautiful scenery, AWFUL customer service. We haven’t been to the park in two years, however they allowed someone to book a stay under my old account and charge to our credit card. I’ve jumped through hoops to get this charge removed and they aren’t helpful.

I have never been swimming there but I see a lot of people on the beach and in the water. I do know they stock trout in the lake and I think trout might need cooler waters to live in. It is a beautiful place !
