The entire park. This is a great place for history buffs. Hiking and sightseeing. There is a museum , but during the CO-19 event, it is closed. The staff were very informed and friendly. Go with drinking water though. There is a cell phone tour at each stop.

This is an interesting place to see as it gives the visitor a history lesson on how we treated the Red Stick Indians ( Native Americans ) when we forcibly took their land. The battle here ended the Creek Indian war. It is a beautiful park surrounded pretty much by the Tallapoosa River. The Red Sticks we’re surrounded by the US Regulars and defeated at the horseshoe bend in the river with little chance of escaping

I don't typically gravitate toward military historical sites. However, this military park is particularly interesting involving General Andrew Jackson and the Creek War. The film and short drive through the site tell the story about the battle and the tactical strategies used by both sides. The on-site rangers were excellent! They were so informative - not only about Horseshoe Bend but also about significant local historical events and points of interest. A memorable visit for sure.

Some trekking and driving sightseeing day. The Troop had been to a merit badge workshop and we just made Horseshoe Bend a little side trip.
